Since our post announcing the open beta of the new AdSense interface, we’ve been working on a few additional features, listening closely to your feedback about how we can continue to improve. We’re very excited to announce a few changes that will further enhance your AdSense account management experience:
- We’ve changed the default metrics shown on the Home and Performance reports pages based on strong feedback that most of you prefer to view your earnings at the page level rather than by ad unit. As a result, we’ve switched back to page level metrics, and those of you who wish to see ad unit CTR and other ad unit level metrics can now do so under the Performance reports tab.
- The Allow and block ads drop-down selector, which lets you see your blocking features by product, has been updated to call out the product name. This makes the interface a lot more clear for those of you using multiple products.
- Ad unit impressions and queries have been renamed ‘Ad requests’ to better describe how this statistic is used for AdSense for content, AdSense for search, and other products. An ad request is recorded each time an ad unit on your site requests ads from Google's servers (for content ads) or a search query is made (for search ads). We report an ad request each time a request was sent, even if no ads were returned and public service ads, backup ads, or no ads were displayed instead.
- Based on feedback, we’ve updated the terms found under the Ad types section of your Performance reports to include text, image, rich media, animated image, and flash. Previously, rich media ads were referred to as HTML and animated image was called dynamic image.
- For publishers using our AdSense for games and AdSense for video products, you can now create and edit channels and see reporting for these products. Learn more about AdSense for games and AdSense for video.

I am not sure where to contact the adsense team for account issues. And I was wondering if the changes you talked about in this blog post caused the issue with my account. I am stuck on the reports page - todays earnings. No matter what I click the page refreshes to reports -todays earnings. I can not navigate away from it and it's making me insane. thanks

Still no colour palettes in the new interface, then? Pretty annoying having to go back to the old interface to change these...

Under the quick reports tab where you can choose to see this month's earnings or last month's earnings, I'd like to see choices for Year to Date and All Time statistics, too.

@makeithappen: I had this problem last week. Did you try clearing your cache and/or history? Did you try it on a different browser?

Some information that would be very helpful for a larger company (I'm sure many of you are in the same boat). Would be to determine the revenue break out by US verses International (Break it out by Ad Size as well). Its really hard negotiating with an Ad Network on US / International Rates when they are a combined total. Another feature that is in the old template which has still yet to migrate to the new is in the Performance report there is no way to get a all your URL channels broken out by day and channel, it either makes you do it by individual channels or combines the overall total of your date range. Many companies do a daily report on this data and it makes it a nightmare to pull every day by itself. I too find myself having to go to the old template in order to get this information.
Thanks, still loving many of the new updates.

The new interface is OK, but I still have to get used to it.
I'd like to know if I can use Google Affiliate Network ads along with Google ads. Can someone help me with this?
Thank you.

I agree with the first comment. The new interface is useless to me until you get the breakout by channel on the main page. I use that a dozen times a day.
P.S. Yes, I'm an addict.

without the Top Channels list in the home page the new interface is USELESS. I can check every channel just with one click in the home page and see how every website is doing. I can even now how many visits I have according to this information. Because of this the old interface is WAY better than the new one.

why is the adsense sign-in nearly always down? I go to check my account and the site isn't there. There's no way to check my performance and revenue streems when this happens. Surely google has the technology!!?

No problem if you want to release an incomplete beta version of the new interface, but you could at least include a note on the new 'create ad' page that the new color palette editor doesn't work yet and here is a link to the old color palette edit page instead of pretending everything's fine as a politician would do. You waste users' time as each one has to figure out why it isn't there.

I tried the new interface for a couple of days. I'm now back into the old interface, and I'm happier.
I prefer to be able to log-in and see all my websites performance with just one click.

@poolman: you'd better get used to the new interface, because soon the old one will disappear -- didn't you get an email from Google to that effect? I did.
