As an AdSense publisher, you know that the ad revenue you’re earning from your site is important to maintaining and growing your online business. In addition to AdSense, are you also using other ad networks on your pages or selling some of your ad space directly to specific advertisers?

If so, you may have found that it can be time-consuming to determine and manage when and where your ads should show, in order for you to earn the most money possible. And if an advertiser has very specific requirements for their campaigns -- such as only appearing during a certain time of day or only to users located in a certain country -- it can be challenging to fulfill these types of requests.

That’s where an ad server like DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) Small Business can help. An ad server helps you deliver ads to your pages, allowing you to manage ads from AdSense, multiple ad networks, and directly sold ads. Watch our introductory video below to learn more:

If you’ve started using multiple ad networks or have started receiving requests from advertisers to place their ads on your site directly, DFP Small Business is a great solution. Sign up for a free account, or visit our Help Center to learn more.

We recently transitioned to DFP SB to get the flexibility that you describe in your video. DFP is a great tool, but it would be helpful if you could provide *very specific* documentation on how to transition to DFP where only Adsense network ads are served. The whole concept of "Orders" and "Line Items" is confusing for many of us coming from an Adsense-only environment. Once Adsense is in place on DFP, then we will layer on additional ad networks and direct advertisers.

How compatible is this with the ever-stricter rules of your Search Department? Have you consulted with them before launching this? Or are we going to get "pandalized" for having too many ads?

Heard about DFP Small Business at Adsense in your City.

It sounds awesome but when I sign up I am getting an error message that says" Unauthorized access."

I signed up with my adsense account and and trying to use the same username/login. Any advice would be appreciated.

I read on one forum that admanager (DFP) will use bids from the other networks to lower adsense upper bid limit. Is that true ? So for example if adsense used to make $1.2 ecpm, network x offering $0.7 ecpm, then my understanding rom that forum is dfp would lower adsense offer to something around $0.72 and still win the bid. So using dfp results in the pubisher shooting himself in the foot.

Thanks for anwering
