Highlighting ad titles

As we continue to improve and launch new features, we’re always interested in hearing your ideas and feedback. Many of you have shared that you want to be able to change the title color of ads when a user moves their mouse over the title link. After a period of testing, we found that this feature resulted in higher earnings for publishers while also increasing user and advertiser value. We are pleased to announce today that we have updated all text ads with this change.
As you can imagine, there are numerous combinations of link and background color across the ad units on all publisher pages. After extensive testing, we have found that the color of the change itself can make a big difference: the wrong shade can even be detrimental to clickthrough rate (CTR). To determine the color that the title link will change to when a user places their mouse cursor over it, we’ll take your chosen title color and find a nearly complementary color on the color wheel. For example, a blue title would change to red. These colors outperformed all the others we tested.
We’ll continue to keep studying the effects of color on CTR and ad performance to bring you more enhancements in the future. Please also feel free to keep sharing your product feedback and suggestions!

My links are green, and you have made them turn black -- I'm not sure that's an enticing colour! I hope you'll make it possible for us to choose which colour we want for hovering.

That's great but would be even better if we can choose this color.
Also as of right now it works for my blue ads, but for the black ones it doesn't :(

Why can we not choose the hover color ourselves???! This complementary color approximation thing is ridiculous. The hover color on the links on my ads is completely off from my site's color scheme and makes me look like an idiot especially since my site's subject is web design. Needless to say, my CTR has suffered immensely as a result. At least give us the option to OPT OUT.

How to change the new hover link colour? I have noticed a significant drop in earning ever since it was implemented and the green hover color looks ugly too.

I like this. It really eliminates the confusion of seeing the cursor change but not the color of the link. For us older folks this is a real plus as before we all to often didn't realize the link was clickable. Thanks for this big change.

This is really stupid. I have all blue links on my site with NO mouseover color change. Now all teh ads look out of place and I'm guessing visitors will notice them more. I want them to blend in - thats the whole point of letting us choose colours right? So why not let us choos ethe mouse over color too. this is stupid. hate it

I would like to be able to personalize the hover color also. On my site the link color is light blue and the Adsense hover color turns to a shocking pink. I don't think this is bring a higher CTR, more likely scaring off potential customers.
