New insight into how users are accessing your site

Today, we’re excited to offer you a brand new report that shows you the platforms that your visitors are using to access your site. You’ll be able to see a breakdown of your earnings based on where your traffic is coming from, which you can use to then optimize your site and give users a better experience. For instance, if you find that you’re receiving a high percentage of traffic from mobile devices, we’d encourage you to create a mobile version of your website and monetize it with AdSense for mobile content.

With this feature, you’ll be able to see your performance data broken out into these categories:

- Desktop - all traffic coming from desktop users
- High-end mobile devices - includes smartphone devices
- Other mobile devices - includes low end and mid-range phones

Try out this new report by navigating to the new interface and clicking on the Performance reports tab. Choose Platforms in the left navigation.

And as a quick reminder, we’re gradually moving away from the older version as we continue to focus on reporting improvements like these. Do you have feedback about this new report, or are there other reports you’d like to see? Please share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments field below. If you haven’t yet tried the new interface, learn more about getting started today.

The "Other mobile devices" leaves me scratching my head.

It's the only category I have with %0.00 coverage.

Any suggestions to improve this?

Quick thoughts.
1) More insight is always good
2)High end mobile devices? Which devices? Ios, Blackberry, Android?
3) Other mobile devices? Which ones?
4) Adsense for mobile? Are all the advertisers that use regular (none mobile) ads available for Adsense for mobile ass well? Or do we just get advertisers that advertise ringtones?

I've been looking at adding a mobile stylesheet to my site, to format it better for smartphones.

It would be really awesome if Adsense could decide which ads to show based on the device. From the looks of it I need to do some kind of server side detection for mobiles in order to add different ad code.

In some cases I see (unmatched ad requests). In such cases I wish we did not have to choose an ad size so that matching ad requests can displayed on the site or mobile.

You keep adding these fairly useless doodads, but when are you going to bring back "top channels"? It's the main tool that I use every day. I just want to quickly know the top URL channels and the new interface still doesn't have it.

I have to keep using the old interface because you keep wasting your time on all of this fairly useless junk.

Maybe next you'll create a doodad that shows if a user clicked on an ad using their left hand or their right hand. Who cares? Please just give us back what we already had. "Top channels" is one of the most useful tools you had, so of course, it's the one thing you leave out. Stop being evil!
