Welcome to 2011! Though it may be hard to stick to all of your New Year's resolutions (we can’t say no to donuts either) we want to help keep you on track by giving you ten quick and easy AdSense resolutions you can be sure to keep:

  • Enable text and image ads so all available advertisers can bid to appear on your site.
  • Use wider ad units which are more reader-friendly and used by more advertisers
  • Use channels to measure the outcome of any tests you run by grouping and tracking ad units as you choose.
  • Turn those channels into ad placements so advertisers can pick specific groups of ad units on your site that they want to target.
  • Go through the AdSense checklist to learn about new AdSense features and brush up on your program knowledge.
  • Follow us on Twitter to get quick updates on the latest features, AdSense tips, and Google highlights.
  • Join the conversation in the Help Forum to connect with other publishers and get your questions answered.
  • Bookmark our troubleshooter so you can quickly diagnose and fix the issue should ads stop showing on your site.
Over here in AdSense, we have some resolutions of our own to keep. Our top priority is to focus on growing and strengthening our relationships with all of you, our valued publishers. We’re working on ways to make Google’s publisher solutions more seamless and integrated, so you don’t miss any opportunities to maximize revenue and enhance your online content. The recent launch of the new AdSense interface is just the start of what the new year holds for future improvements. We’re constantly innovating and we encourage you to do the same.

We hope these tips help you start the year off with a bang. And treat yourself to a donut with the extra revenue you earn -- we promise not to tell.

I appreciate the videos speaking about wider ad units and how to better use three link units on a blog or website. Thanks for the visual. Seeing the examples do help.

Why does adsense hijack all of my searches using the Google search engine on Firefox? Are there many weaknesses associated with this, somewhat nefarious software?
Thank you for your indulgence

Have you considered the implications of placing "three standard AdSense for content ad units, three link units, and two AdSense for search boxes on each page of your site" on the performance/load time for the Web page in question and the resulting loss of ranking in the Google search results?

I hope that you will make EFT available to Estonia in this year, the sooner the better. It shouldn´t be that hard, because we haave Euro since this year.

Channels are a huge blessing, especially in the new interface.

I hope Paco Tomei is wrong about a loss of ranking associated with an abundance of AdSense ads...

My own question is about another apparently negative result of "too much AdSense":

Some top contributors on the AdSense forums strongly advocate removing AdSense ads from all low-performing pages and sites, claiming that they have had huge increases in income when they have done that.

The reasoning is that by doing this you increase your CTR and that Google will reward your higher CTR by serving you better paying ads. This would imply that by having AdSense on your less popular pages, or on a new site that still doesn't have much traffic, Google punishes you by serving you lousy ads on your good pages and sites.

This doesn't seem to make sense to me, but those people sound so convincing... are they telling the truth?

Many of us will be very grateful if you (meaning the Google AdSense team) will settle this once and for all.

I am 10000% sure no one reads these comments. However if there is a slim chance (won't hold my breathe):

COULD SOMEONE FIX THE COLLAPSING SOURCE CODE FOR ADSENSE!!!!

The collapsing code doesn't work. Lots of people have complained about it in the help section yet still no solution was presented.

That's all for now.

Thanks!

I have been waiting for a response for 6 weeks now. All your system say is "we will get back in a week", which you obviously dont. I suggest you update that text to "we might get back to you next year", and that you send out some kind of email to the people waiting for a response.

@Dittos Rushi: yes you can do that. There's instructions on bloggersentral.com. Do a search in his search box.
