Default font size increased
As a follow-up to last week's launch of font size controls, we'd like to let you know that we've just increased the default font size for AdSense ad units. This change will affect your ad units if you haven't yet customized your font sizes, or if your ad units are set to 'AdSense default font size' -- you'll notice that the text in your ad units is now the equivalent of 'medium' instead of 'small'. We decided to make this change based on publisher feedback and our testing, which showed that this increased font size improved performance.

Thanks, The Google Adsense Team, Bigger is certainly the Better,
I was a bit surprised when I saw the larger fonts on my blog, and initially thought something was wrong with my IE fonts. But, the ads definetly stand out and after finding this post through twitter, glad to see this was a Google adsense driven innovation. Let see how well it monetizes.
I also noticed the increased size on my blog's ads. I'm all for anything that helps drive and improve revenue for google, and of course for me!
Was waiting curiously for this feature. Really great feature, will help publishers in earning better revenue. Thanks to adsense team.
Nice to hear the news about the font size increased in our Google Adsense. It is giving to us the enormous ideas to improve our ad strategy. Thanks for giving the opportunity to us.
I always to reach our goal through our adsense font size enlarged and Nice to see this news from this blog. Many of the details I got from this blog.
It was a much awaited feature and is welcome.
However, we are missing many things, especially that compared to Wordpress.
Wordpress allows use of plugins, which gives the wordpress bloggers liberty to customise their ad in width, height and numbers. I, being loyal to blogger and adsense (both belonging to Google), feel a bit left out.
A simple example to quote - The 336*280 ad unit, which usually shows 4 units by default on blogger, can be customised on Wordpress using plugins to show only 2 ads in the size of 336*140, but not in blogger. Having very limited but effectively targeted ads like these can really work wonders.
Though there is a potential chance of misuse (nobody can deny that), Adsense can actually allow this in phases, with some strict criterias. Say, a publisher can become eligible for customised ads if he meets the following:
- after completion of 3 years of clean Adsense record
- Hosting ads only on sites appoved by Adsense team
- Monthly adsense income should be atleast 200 USD
- etc.
Thanks
Bigger font size better display of ads
Why not extend the font size property to the "link units"?

Why i am not able to Grant access to other website from Adsense
This is increased my performance tremendously. Thanks.
No way, I'm not changing the default font size. I really dig the bigger Google banner ads. It actually makes my site look more professional in my opinion.
Requests:
1. Allow us to change the font face too / add some more fonts, at least the ones that you allow on Blogspot.com.
2. Extend the size feature to text links too.
3. Letting us choose text size for individual units. Some look good large, while some sections need smaller versions.
I have to blend my ads to match my content, but I find myself left without a choice but to do the reverse.
I am presently using (on these sites) ads formatted in Times / Large on pages written for Garamond. Need my ads to be changed to Garamond.
