Add Google News to your website

Do you run a site that relates to people or topics often covered in the media? Or are you looking for additional ways to engage your users? If so, we'd like to introduce you to our recently released Google News–based element for webmasters and developers. This element will allow you to easily integrate headlines and previews from Google News into any page to supplement your content and help make it more dynamic. Whether your site's visitors are interested in business, entertainment or fashion, you control the types of stories in your personal news show. You can input keywords like "Obama" or broad topics like "world news" or "politics".
Adding this element to your site or blog is easy using our NewsShow wizard. You can select the size of the frame, the topics, and the number of articles you want to show, and we'll build the code for you. Or, for more customization, take a look at our documentation.
For more information, see our post on the AJAX Search API Blog. To get started now, head straight to our wizard to cut and paste your own NewsShow.

Wow would I love to use this...
Problem is, as a Wordpress user, there are just too many, 'fiddling,' yada yada's surrounding putting the darn thing into the sidebar! What a disappointment! Nice, BIG banner; BIG square box - where is the tower version? Nowhere to be seen.
Something like this would really add some quick spice to the site, but WoWzA! I am not going to spend a few Hours? Days? Trying to figure out how to mess with the size properties and associated blah blah blah surrounding this thing.(Isn't that your job, Google?)
I'll be watching; maybe eventually it'll have a size that will fit into the sidebar of a Wordpress theme. Until then; disappointment, and a desire to use it.

I see people here saying "Where is the profit", correct me if I'm wrong but content is key, google providing us with the opportunity to include a live up-to-date news reel on our site would probably go over very well with my user base (as well as yours). There is no guarantee if it will have any effect on your adsense profits, but it will more than likely make your users happier :D. Thanks Google!

It is useful because it provides targeted, contextual content for your site's visitors. I'm a casual user of Ad-Sense, not really in it for the big payoff. My main interest is to develop a good site with a lot of interesting content for folks who share my interest in camping and the outdoors. The secondary motivation (or even farther down) is the Adsense. This news content can solve both needs.
Cheers,

I am already have the Google news feed headline running on my blog, and it will be a good idea if this also could be monetize with ADSENSE on publishers' blog / sites!

I've been using this for a while,
very pleased with it, but can't see any connection with AdSense.
Is there a way of linking it to our AdSense accounts, if not, are there plans to do so in the future?

The side bar of my web site is exactly 300 pixels wide, so it's nice that you have a style that is 300 x 250.
I've been wanting to add a reliable news widget to my web site and this looks perfect. I love how we can get the exact type of news we want to match a specific page. Very useful. Thanks.

They were probably out of Google AdSense info, so they decided to post this. I'm glad they did because I didn't know it existed until now.
The connection to AdSense is that if you have related news that matches the content of your page, people will think your page is more useful than it previously was and they will be more likely to visit again, so you might end up getting more clicks as traffic increases.
The opposite could also happen. They will play with the news thingy and ignore the ads and you'll end up getting fewer clicks. Either way, it's connected to your AdSense earnings. You'll either get more clicks or fewer clicks. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

Hi everyone,
While you won't generate any AdSense earnings from this Google News–based element, it can help enhance your sites. We’ve heard from readers and AdSense publishers who are looking to engage their users and build repeat visits to their sites, so we wanted to let you know about this new way to complement your site’s content.

How about this:
make the news like the ads !
post news articles that are automatically contextually matched to the sites content.

I would love to take part in Google Adsense. But my account has been banned by Google for unknown reason.
Even though, I still want to support Google as well as Google AdSense.
If Google want any help regarding advertise. Please tell me.

The news feature is excellent but it needs some tweaking. I already have news on my site and some from Google. In order for me to use the new Google format, there should be more flexibility to adjust the appearance. The search term does not need to be shown, especially if there is more than one, and Google name should be more subtle and at the bottom. Box size should be adjustable with more than one story to view.

I love this feature and would have put this up on my site. But this means that my visitors are clicking away from my site. Any chance of having it open a new tab/window? Thanx!

I've read through the Adsense policies and terms, etc. and cannot find anything on this at a skimming level.
Does anyone know if it is against Adsense Policy to burn an RSS feed of Google News and monetize the burnt feed? Further, is it acceptable to have Google news in a blogger blog that is monetized with Adsense for content? If an Adsense Guru reads this, please clarify things for me. Thanks.

I thought we weren't allowed to use the news show on commercial sites...?? Aren't sites monetized with Adsense commercial..??
I'd really love to use this feature though!

If we cant earn some money from it, it would be nicer if we can get something like points if our visitor click the link. So the points we can exchange for money or put our sites in Google ads.
Anyway, thanks Google for this new and interesting product.

How is it that just anybody can write a blog and get as popular as this? Its not like youve said anything incredibly impressive –more like youve painted a pretty picture over an issue that you know nothing about! I dont want to sound mean, here. But do you really think that you can get away with adding some pretty pictures and not really say anything?
