We're happy to let you know that you don't need divine forces to play a role in the findability of your site. Nope -- you can help make sure that your site turns up just when it should by taking advantage of these tips from our Search Quality Team.
- Not sure if all your pages are being seen by Google? Search for your site's address after the command "site", like [site:example.com]. When you see your pages in the results, check your snippet content and page titles. Include information that matches the topic of a particular page. If anything is missing or you want more details, you can also use the Content Analysis tool in Webmaster Tools.
- If you upload new pages or topics faster than Google crawls your site, make sure to submit a Google Sitemap and include a refresh rate.
- Label your images appropriately. Users searching in Google Image Search will more easily find the image on your site. Don't miss out on potential traffic because of [001.jpg] instead of [NintendoWii.jpg]. Image Search is one of the largest search properties out there, so you should take advantage of it.
- Manage your SiteLinks. Your most valuable links may not be the ones that Google chooses as SiteLinks, so remember you can remove any that you don't think users will find useful.
- Check for errors and keyword traffic in Webmaster Tools. See our diagnostics checklist.
- Serve accurate HTTP status codes. If you've retired a page permanently, serve a 404. If you've simply relocated it, serve a 301. The more we know about your old pages, the faster we will find the next best page on your site for a given query.
- Users and search engines like organic content. Make some of your own!
- Read our recently released SEO Starter Guide.
- Watch our Tutorials for Webmasters.
- Find out what information Google has about your website in Webmaster Tools.
- Get the latest updates from the Webmaster Central Blog.
- Find answers to your questions in our Webmaster Help Center, or ask your questions in the Webmaster Help Group.

I'm never using Google Sitemaps again because Google makes it harder than pulling teeth. We don't get a good template to use, just fuzzy guidelines. I tried it for a while and although Google said it was fine one month, they said it was messed up the next month. This happened 3 or 4 times. There's some stupid sitemap code that needs to to be twiddled every few weeks or Google will say there is a problem. No thanks. Too much trouble and it didn't help my site one bit anyway.
I have a normal HTML sitemap. That should be good enough. If Google can't follow a page of links on an HTML sitemap, maybe someone at Google needs to be fired. Remember, our sites are supposed to focus on our visitors, not on Google. There are a growing number of things we have to do to cater to Google instead of just making our sites for our visitors.
I love Google for sending many visitors to my web site every day, but enough is enough. I refuse to focus on Google when I need to be focusing on my visitors.
Thanks for the Tips
Here's another problem. Words straight from Google:
"One of the most important steps in improving your site's ranking in Google search results is to ensure that it contains plenty of rich information that includes relevant keywords, used appropriately, that indicate the subject matter of your content."
When I write my text, I don't think about what Google thinks is too few or too many 'relevant keywords.' I just write the text the best way I know how. Google is going to punish me if I use a word too many times? It's ridiculous. Why don't you open up a free Google writing class so we can all learn exactly how to please the all mighty Google? I thought it was all about our visitors, but nooooooo. We have to constantly worry and pull our hair out wondering if Google will approve of our text. Don't think about just communicating with the visitor. Google must always come first, so don't write naturally, you have to write in the unnatural way that Google thinks is natural.
As I said before, I love Google for the traffic they send to my site, but Google has given a lot of people "Walking on Eggshells Syndrome." We can't be natural. We can't just write the best way we can and talk directly to our visitors. We have to worry if we're using too many or too few keywords when half of the time we don't even know what those magical keywords are that we're supposed to be using the right amount of.
I just want to be able to write text without worrying about whether Google will praise me today or beat me with a switch. Google is like an abusive step-father. You never know what will please or anger Google from one day to the next. Walking on eggshells is pretty much a waste of time since you can never please the beast completely. You're going to get slapped around no matter what you do, so you might as well write for your visitors and take you lumps as Google hacks away at your PageRank.
If Google doesn't change their abusive stepfather ways, a lot of web site owners are going to revolt by avoiding Google and all of Google's products and recommend other search engines to their visitors and maybe the tyranny will finally end.
I have registered for an adsense account some months back and I have ads showing up on my blog. However after a while, some months later I tried to access my adsense account, Google tells me that I do not have an account.
https://www.google.com/adsense/noaccount
When I tried to create an account, it says, the person with that same email or same name already has an account. And there is no useful information in HELP.
What can I do?
