Site maintenance on Saturday, August 23

This Saturday, August 23rd, our engineers will be performing site maintenance from 10am to 2pm PDT. You'll be unable to log in during these hours, but we'll continue to track your earnings and serve ads to your pages. For those of you located in different time zones, we've provided the maintenance start time for a few international cities:

London - 6pm Saturday
Istanbul - 8pm Saturday
Bangalore - 10:30pm Saturday
Hanoi - 12am Sunday
Auckland - 5am Sunday

Finally, you may have noticed that we're posting this message a little earlier than usual. Based on your feedback, we'll do our best to post these maintenance reminders earlier in the week to help you plan ahead. Thanks for the suggestion!

Might as well be down for maintenance permanently for many of us, as we keep getting the following when we try to be assimilated into the new Google Borg.
"The email address you've selected is associated with another existing AdSense account. As a result, we're unable to update your AdSense login to this email address. However, you're welcome to choose a different email for your login."
Of course, there is no answer in "Help".

Google, you have said 10 - 4.
Although you say 6 start in london

Yeah! I live on the pacific coast.. The 'till 2pm' thing kinda overstayed its welcome..wtf mate!

It's almost bloody 5pm!!!

Umm, 3.5 hours late ... still no Adsense.

Google doesn't give an eff. Not even an update when they were off by 1 hour. Enough of this happy go lucky B.S. They need firm corporate attitudes. The site (which is BTW their butter) has been down for most of today, and not even a release as to what is going on. I hope President Larry is on top of this.

6PM Pacific Time....still no joy

Well, it is back and running. Next time, could you just say 6:00PM and not 2PM?

It seems to me that today's earnings are WAY off from every day this last month--are they *sure* ad clicking was being tracked today? I'm pretty in tune with what I should be making in a day and we are talking a wild swing in the wrong direction.

Gojis and More said...

Yes, the impressions and clicks are WAY OFF! It seems that there was no tracking being done during Google's extended maintenance period

Cahya said...

Adsense not tracking my impressions and clicks during maintenance period :( why ?

oni-kun said...

I'm sick of this. Ugh! I'm getting 1/5 the clicks I get normally!

And yeah.. 6pm would be something they should have said >.>

Ranjay Mitra said...

The impressions are absolutely low today. Not sure if the reports are delayed!

Thanks

Faithe Thomas said...

When this has happened in the past, the clicks and impressions do eventually show up. It's like their logs are delayed.

Don't worry.

Tristan said...

yes, same for me. i think they haven't counted (yet) the impressions and clicks that occured during the maintenance time.

Ummm, I only have 8 page views for the entire day? I don't think so. I can understand NO CLICKS for an entire day, but no page views? I don't think so.
I have had over 20 people email me today about a misspelling on just one page. Since the post went up this morning I must have had at the very least 20 page views.

Yeah, something is screwy...I only have 17 page views today. My statcounter has me at 60 uniques.

...right.

Hoodia Writer said...

My stats were not tracked during maintenance. My traffic has been the same but adsense did not count impressions or clicks at all during maintenance. It's just that simple.

Hoodia Writer said...

I will use some God given patience and trust Google to update my stats. I know what I make a day and nothing was done to my sites. The stats stopped tracking during maintenance so all we can do is hope the system catches up or, work twice as hard tomorrow! It all works out in the end and Adsense works for me. Nobody is perfect. Good luck to all.

Same situation here...nothing has been counted the entire time the mainteance was in effect...however you do need to consider they must have had "issues" since the maintenance took MUCH longer than reported. Considering that it took this long I am sure their servers are wroking overtime right now trying to calculate billions of impressions and clicks..just be a little patient and see what happens over the next few hours... after that if it does not show up my suggestion would be to organize a lynch mob :-)

JOJY said...

as usual this time also neither impression nor clicks were tracked. It becomes adsense group routine to perform weekly maintenance and get our money. Please stop this!

doug said...

My earnings/impressions for today were exactly the same after the maintenance as they were before.

It appears that no data was recorded during the downtime.

If earnings and impressions are delayed, Google should tell us that so we don't all panic and get mad after every maintenance.

For real, Google... wtf?

Hoodia Writer said...

Patience does pay. My Adsense is almost caught back up to where it should be after the maintencance. So patience is the key. It still seems like it should be higher but at least it is somewhere acceptable.

Cahya said...

Yes. my earnings back to normal .. thanks Google :)

I was struck aghast! Thanks for the timely solace

PALS said...

Google should have sent this information to all adsense users since there are less number of people who do read this blog.
