Sharing your ad space

A number of publishers have asked us if it's acceptable to place multiple publishers' ad code on the same page or site. Often they'll run into this issue when two AdSense publishers manage a site together and both want to display their ads, or if a site owner hosts content and ads from other publishers on the same page as their own.

The answer is that yes, we do allow this. But before you place your ad code on the same page or site as another publisher, here are a few important points to keep in mind:
  • The maximum number of products per page will remain the same.
  • If you don't own the site, you'll need to receive permission from the site owner to display your ads on their pages.
  • We're unable to divide earnings between accounts, so any revenue generated will be credited to the account associated with the ad unit that was clicked or viewed.
  • Any shared site that displays Google ads must also comply with our program policies.
  • You're responsible for the content of any page where your ad code appears. Before placing your ad code on another publisher's site, we recommend reviewing the site for any policy violations.
And one final tip before giving your code to another publisher -- try using our Allowed Sites feature to monitor where your ads are appearing and keep your account in good standing.

Thanks to this accepting. This means google adsense more friendly and healthy competence with the other publisher.

How about making it possible to put two account IDs in one ad?

Is that something we should expect in the future?

Would make it much easier to share ad revenue 50-50 with partners.

Thanks-a-lot for this new addition,
it will definitely be helpful for the publishers like us.

Sir I am having a doubt, if one of the publisher is found to be generating inappropriate ad-clicks, then it might be banned from adsense but what would happen to the other publisher's account and how will you justify that which publisher will be banned among the two?

Thank You.

I would like to thank Arlene for posting this blog. I was wondering why some of my ads on my blog where not showing up. After reading this i worked out only 3 sections of ads can be displayed. My blog Http://www.thedirtyaussie.com is growing every day and using google adsense is the best PPC i have ever used.

Thanks heaps

Thank you Google for this change because I know it was not allowed in the past. It had become a problem because occasionally I would have liked to embed a video that will benefit my readers but the video owner sometimes had his/her own AdSense ads and I couldn't do it because of the TOS.

Now let me go and focus on my reader and create great content.

This is such great news. I've implemented Adsense sharing on my site. And I'm strictly applying the terms and conditions of policy's.

Been reading some of the blogs recently about this very issue and I'm glad that I've got proper advice from the right place :)

Thanks Arlene for nice clarification. :-)

I still have some more doubts. I hope I will get answer from you are other guys here.

I run a blog where few guest authors post from time to time. I want these guest author to be able to display their own one adsense unit on their article pages.

Now here are my questions:

1. What if a guest blogger start clicking on his own ads or violate any other Adsense TOS? Of course he deserved to get banned, but will it affect other publishers on my site, for example me, or my site?

2. What will happen if a guest publisher gets banned because of his activities on other sites he may be monetizing? Will his involvement with my site will create problem for me or other adsense publishers on my site.

3. Will any violation by anyone else affect my site indirectly. Like blacklisting or poor ranking at Adwords end?

I know I am asking too much but I need these answers from long time.
Also please do answer at your convenience.

Thanks,
-Rahul :-)

Important Question for Google:

What will happen if a guest publisher gets banned because of his activities and clicking on his own ads? Will his involvement with my site will create a problem with any of the other Adsense accounts on the site?.
