Last month, Google product managers and marketers held a workshop on video advertising and content monetization at the Ad:Tech conference in San Francisco. We thought our publishers would be interested in hearing some perspectives on industry trends, some new details about AdSense for video, and the opportunities that Google is offering advertisers to get their messages in video content. Here are some highlights to guide your viewing:
A state of the market: First, your friendly author takes you through trends in video consumption, users' consumption habits, and the estimated market size for video advertising. And if you want to snack on some more Google AdSense videos, check out our overview of options for publishers to make money from video content on their pages. You can also visit our video solutions site for publishers.
History of video ad serving: Robert Victor uses conversations with "Joe and Sam" to describe the evolving needs of buyers and sellers, and previews how Google and DoubleClick In-Stream can fill the gaps.
AdSense for video: Shamim Samadi goes into detail about AdSense for video, describing the various formats we're supporting and recent success stories from Revver on the publisher side and HP on the advertiser side.
YouTube: Tracy Chan describes the compelling opportunities for advertisers on YouTube and how marketers and video creators can take advantage of the new Insights tool to gather a variety of data on viewership of their videos.

Dear Google Adsense, this is urgent and it is thus necessary to be off-topic. Today, hundreds or millions (click e.g. here!) of people received an e-mail from Google Adsense that we need to accept new terms and conditions and it is enough to log into Google and follow instructions.
But there are absolutely no instructions inside Google AdSense how to accept them! Hundreds of people have checked that. Could you please fix that? Could you please inform all the people who have received the bizarre e-mail what the fix is? Thanks, LM

I am really glad to see so many improvements for AdSense for videos but unfortunately I can’t use them since they are not available for my country. Are there any indications when it will be available for Serbia since I am from that country?

Hello ... Google ...
Can you make another press statement that your engineers are working on this problem? We'll be happy to oblige if you tell us how.

For everyone with the same problem:
An answer from Google AdSensePro's Stephanie - on a USENET group:
Hi everyone,
It seems my previous reply may have been buried in this thread, so
I'll repost again, just in case:
We've found that a number of emails were sent incorrectly to
publishers who had already accepted the updated Terms
and Conditions in the past. To clarify, the most recent update to the
Terms and Conditions occurred at the end of February, and there
haven't been any changes since. If you already accepted the Terms and
Conditions after they were updated in February, you won't need to re-
accept them, and you won't be prompted to do so when you log in.
Our team will be following up in the next few days via email with
those publishers who received a reminder in error. Thanks again for
your patience, and apologies for the confusion.
Stephanie

Hi,
Is it okay for me to have adsense ads (link, unit and search) on my blog together with Revver video ads?
I have been looking for that in the terms and condition and doesn't seem to find it.
Am I allowed to do this?
Thanks
