A note on traffic exchange programs

We understand that our publishers are always looking for ways to attract interested users to their sites. But using third-party tools or services to increase your site traffic may lead to invalid clicks or impressions and result in your account being disabled. For this reason, we'd like to provide you with some guidance about this.

As many of you already know, our program policies strictly prohibit any means of artificially generating ad impressions or clicks, including third-party services such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, auto-surf, and click-exchange programs. These programs offer incentives for users to view web pages or click on ads, resulting in activity that is harmful to our advertisers.

We occasionally receive questions from publishers interested in using traffic exchanges to bring traffic to their site. While these services may help advertise your site, we don't recommend using them, as they may also result in similar invalid activity. We realize that you may have questions about a specific traffic service and whether it could potentially create invalid impressions or clicks. However, please understand that we're unable to comment on any particular third-party service.

As a parting note, we encourage you to read through our tips and guidelines and Webmaster Guidelines to help keep your account in good standing. These guidelines advise publishers to "Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first," and we feel this is ultimately the best way to attract more visitors to your site and build a truly loyal audience.

Ya that is really good. Because it will not affect Advertisers. But try to bring any extra features in adsense for publishers.

I do also have an other question..."Can, we go with networks that publish ads our ads for free in exchange to their ads?"

I hope you got what I meant..

With the Introduction of new guidelines I think people using "Entrecard Widget" which is a type of traffic exchange, hugely popular; won't be able to use adsense with it.

Now they have to think whether they have to use Entrecard or Adsense..

I have a question:

I have a dictionary website and I put Google adsence on it, already I have another website which has same dictionary service but the language of main page is Farsi (which doesn't support by Google), so I want to know is that ok to redirect search result of this web site to dictionary website?

Please help me to make my decision?

Hi, I have recently used a click exchange to promote my site, I have not encouraged anyone to click on my adsense adverts in any way.

I can understand that there are probably people out there that try to cheat and gain money from google using these sites. But that is probably the minority.

I have a very small site and for me to make the $100 minimum payout on Google would probably take me over a year or two, so personally if i had to loose Google adsense or click exchange, i would probably remove Google adsense.

One last note, why not edit Google adsense so that it don't pay out for clicks that come from theses click exchanges, put it in the contract that all clicks on ads resulting from click exchanges will be invalid, just like if you click on your own ads, you don't get paid. This will stop any cheating. End of.

I was kinda wondering. What if the landing page has no adsense ads on them? Will I still be violating google's TOS?

I've told people for over a year to just remove the Google Adsense. Why take the loss in customers and a chance to gain a potentially new one? It makes no sense to have Adsense ads on your website, period. Funny how you even admit that traffic exchanges work. You are doing nothing more then sand bagging your competition.

As we all understand, being legitimate in any business activity should be the top priority. Mike Deeringer's stance on it is absolutely correct.
